 
FOR MORE THAN FIVE DECADES, SUNSHINE BIBLE Academy has been standing strong on the fertile soil of the Great Plains of South Dakota. Firmly rooted in biblical values, Sunshine has been growing through the seasons as a unique educational community where young lives are nurtured, trained and strengthened in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Ever true to our motto, God's Truth for Today's Youth, we've seen thousands of lives directly impacted and countless more influenced as our alumni spread throughout the world, touching lives for Christ as they go.
Students from around the world are now coming to Sunshine for a quality education in a special environment that fosters Christian growth at every level. Sunshine is a true "academy" where dedicated Christians study for a season of education, training and vision building. Through on-campus living, dedicated staff and biblically based curriculum, our students are immersed in a Christ-centered community where Jesus is the focus of all aspects of life— from service projects to academics, from sports to fine arts.
Students leave Sunshine prepared to engage the world as mature, grounded, visionary, servant leaders. Our graduates are confronting godless world views, standing strong as ambassadors of Jesus Christ, and impacting the current and coming generations for the Lord.
The Need
Our current buildings have been an important part of the character of SBA; they are part of our rich heritage. But time, the elements, and decades of vigorous use are taking their toll.
- We lack the space needed for existing programs and activities.
- Aging utilities are becoming expensive to maintain and inefficient to use.
- As our student body continues to grow in numbers, we are rapidly reaching maximum capacity.
- Many facilities are already overcrowded.
- Space limitations are putting heavy pressure on our daily schedules.
Yet our dreams for the future continue to grow. As we capture a new vision for the next 50 years, we see the desperate need for facilities that will allow us to continue building on our current legacy—buildings that will expand our capacity to disciple and educate world-changing students for the next generations.
In 2005, Sunshine Bible Academy teamed with ARC International, Inc. to explore a long term campus plan. Through workshops, interviews and much prayer, a plan for the future emerged. It was a corporate effort, led by the Holy Spirit, and we are confident that the final master plan is the Master's Plan for SBA.
