Fine Arts

SBA has a reputation for excellence in fine arts, with students producing outstanding performances in both vocal and instrumental music. SBA drama performances also receive high praise. The ministry team travels around the state combining music and drama to minister in local churches.
Students can begin taking instrumental lessons in grade 5. The concert band includes students in grades 7-12.
The Crusader Choir, including students in grades 7-12, performs in the Christmas concert and the spring concert, as does the elementary chorus.
Handbell Ensemble is a co-curricular activitiy open to high school students.

Oral Interp
One-Act Play
Spring Play
Oral Interp is a fall activity. Students can perform solo or duet pieces in various categories, including humorous, non-original oratory and poetry, as well as in the ensemble Readers Theatre.
One-Act Play is a winter activity. The play is performed once at SBA and then in district competition. The category is humorous or serious every-other year.
Each spring, SBA's drama department produces a spring play. This is a longer play and provides an opportunity for SBA students--and occasionally staff--to showcase their acting talents, as well as set design and technical assistance.
